L'eau D'issey (Issey Miyake) Cologne by Issey Miyake, L'eau D'issey (issey Miyake) is a crisp woody aquatic fragrance created by nose Jacques Cavallier in 1994. It is still popular, particularly as a summer scent. It opens with top notes of yuzu, mandarin orange, lemon verbena, bergamot, sage, tarragon, calone, cypress, and coriander. The heart is rich and spicy with middle notes of nutmeg, saffron, Ceylon cinnamon, blue lotus, mignonette, and geranium. The base notes of tobacco, cedar, musk, Tahitian vetiver, sandalwood, and amber introduce an intensely woody dry down to the bottom of the fragrance. This is a long-lasting scent with a strong sillage.

After working for Guy Laroche and Givenchy in Paris and Geoffrey Beene in New York City, Miyake returned to Tokyo to found his own design studio and fashion house.
